Carbohydrates are a source of energy for your body. The body uses the carbs and converts the same into glucose which needs to be passed to your muscles. Without the necessary glucose in your body, you will face your day with little or no energy at all. On the other hand protein is a necessary component of any diet as it is considered ‘food’ for your muscles.
The amount of ‘low’ level carbs and ‘high’ protein required for your body will depend entirely upon your health condition, weight loss program, your hours of work, your exercise, whether your work involves sitting on the chair most of the time or does it involve walking around etc.
Low carb and high protein diet is an efficient way to lose weight and the same helps the body and the muscles to fuel its energy from fatty acids rather than glucose which it used to take from the carbohydrates. This in return helps the body lose weight faster as your body and muscles are now absorbing all the fats and turning the same into energy.
The said diet lowers the insulin level which in return has a magnificent effect on effective weight loss. If you are following a proper diet plan and the same is a healthy one your bodies insulin goes lower. It is pertinent to mention here that the function of insulin in your body is to push the sugars down, that is to suppress the sugars.
After the said process has taken place your body is now in a insulin resistance mode and instead of converting carbs into glucose, the body now uses fatty acids to convert the same into energy hence this breaks down the fats more and causes effective weight loss.
As soon as you start the low carb high protein diet, within a matter of a few days or weeks you will notice a drastic change in your weight this is because your water weight drops down. Within a matter of additional weeks you will see many more changes if the said diet is followed strictly.
